Codex

Codex is OpenAI’s coding agent for understanding codebases, building features, fixing bugs, reviewing changes and preparing work to ship. It can operate through local and cloud environments, command line, IDE integrations and collaborative workflows, allowing developers to run focused tasks or longer objectives in parallel. Codex can execute checks and inspect diffs, but access and usage depend on the applicable plan, and teams remain responsible for reviewing code, protecting secrets, testing behavior and approving deployment.
