Wordtune offers rewriting and writing suggestions. It is worth evaluating when the draft already contains the right facts but the phrasing is awkward. The key question is whether a revision improves readability while retaining your meaning; a more confident tone is not automatically the right tone.
What the allowance actually covers
The plan page lists ten daily rewrites or AI suggestions and three monthly summarizations for Basic. Advanced is displayed at $6.99 per month billed annually, with 30 daily suggestions and 15 monthly summaries. Daily limits and monthly limits are different constraints; check the final payment and renewal terms before upgrading.
Try a commitment-preservation check
Use this constructed sentence: “We may be able to deliver on Friday if the supplier confirms stock by Wednesday.” Ask for a shorter version and a warmer version. Before evaluating style, mark the uncertain commitment, the Friday target and the Wednesday condition.
| Revision to inspect | Decision | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| We will deliver on Friday. | Reject | Turns a conditional target into a promise |
| Friday delivery may be possible if stock is confirmed by Wednesday. | Meaning preserved | Retains uncertainty and the condition |
These revisions are teaching examples written for this page, not Wordtune outputs. Run the task with your own permitted text and note whether you need to restore qualifications. Repeat with a sentence containing a negative, such as “The fee does not include installation.” A rewrite that drops the negative fails even if it sounds more natural.
Decide whether more rewrites help
For a week, count accepted changes rather than generated alternatives. If you repeatedly reject variants for changing meaning, increasing the allowance will not resolve that problem. If acceptable edits are common but the daily cap interrupts the work, compare the paid allowance with the time spent waiting or switching tools.
Keep the approved original nearby during final review. For broader editing choices, see Grammarly vs QuillBot; the same preservation rule applies to any rewrite.
Compare the writing tools by task, then record your baseline and acceptance criteria in the AI tool evaluation checklist. This profile reviews published documentation; the exercise is a suggested trial, not a report of product test results.
